On July 26th, 2010 Chinese audiences can enjoy a complimentary concert featuring the vocal charm of Giorgia Fumanti under the direction of Conductor Vito DiSalvo at the Shanghai Concert Hall as part of the rich cultural programme of the Italian Pavilion at World Expo 2010 Shanghai.
Giorgia Fumanti - Vocalist
Italian soprano Giorgia Fumanti sings with purity and grace straddling between pop and classical, Giorgia’s voice draws comparisons to the operatic-pop style of Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman and Barbra Streisand. Known for her amazing voice, Giorgia has performed all over the world and has toured with José Carreras, Michael Bolton, Lang Lang, Zucchero, Gino Paoli, Lucio Dalla, Yu Qiang Dai, Liao Chang Yong, The Russian Red Army Choir, the 12 Girls Band, Justin Hayward (Moody Blues) and many others.
Vito DiSalvo - Conductor
Vito DiSalvo was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA and studied music at Duquesne University. He earned his Master of Music degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida in Music Theory and Composition.
DiSalvo has divided his career between thirty-two years as a music educator and his life as a professional musician, arranger, composer, conductor, and producer.
DiSalvo has been involved with many genres of music including Classical, Opera, Jazz, Italian Pop and American Pop. He has produced more than twenty albums for his record label, MHM Productions LLC. DiSalvo has also owned and operated Mifflin Hills Music Publishing LLC since 1977.
