Tour Dates: 5 July - 16 July, 2012 Michael Krücker, piano Praised by the New York Times for their 'absolute oneness', Rene Berman and Michael Krücker form an exceptional piano and cello duo. Both accomplished musicians have played internationally in separate chamber ensembles before coming together as a duo. The Duo was honoured by the world's greatest authorities on classical music, Harold C. Schonberg from New York and Paul Griffith from London, who praised its excellently interpreted program, the big tone and precision of nuance, and the great enthusiasm with which the Duo played. Studies in the master classes of the music academies of London (RCM), Rotterdam and Düsseldorf were stepping stones for Rene Berman and Michael Krücker on their wide-ranging musical careers which have led them through the whole of Europe. Both have won many prizes and scholarships and have played in numerous radio and television productions. Besides recording CDs for labels including Sony/BMG, Koch Universal, Berlin Classics, Attaca Records, Do-Records, NCA and NM Classics, Rene Berman and Michael Krücker were both guest soloists with famous orchestras such as the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, the Cologne Philharmonic, the Cologne Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Radio Kamerorkest, Northern Philharmonic and Gelders Orkest in the Netherlands. Rene Berman and Michael Krücker Duo is a regular guest at major music festivals including the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Heidelberger Frühling in Germany, Schiermonnikoog Chamber Music Festival in the Netherlands, the French Festival de la Roque d'Anthéron and Festival Ile-de-France, and the Concertenfestival Knokke-Heist in Belgium. Concert tours have taken them so far not only throughout Europe but also to North and South America, Australia and Asia. |
