Gatecrash has earned a reputation as one of Europe's top cross-over bands between jazz and pop. The music ranges from lazy lounge music to hard core uptempo beats and spaced out moods, with Zappa-influenced odd meters. It's a band that sweeps the audience away. The Gatecrash Quartet features soundscape master Jeroen van Vliet on Fender Rhodes and keyboards, the inventive Gulli Gudmundsson on bass, electric basses and effects, and the up and coming Jasper van Hulten on drums. Eric Vloeimans expands his trumpet mastery with electronics special effects.

Eric Vloeimans

Dutch trumpet player (1963) is regarded as one of Europe's best performers with an extraordinary talent for playing original music with outstanding quality. Vloeimans prefers recording original compositions on his many award winning cd's, however he can often be heard performing a wide variety of tunes. As a composer he does not feel restricted to one particular style, and he has managed to create an evocative, harmonic language of his own. His writing is fresh and creative, yet not without feeling and respect for tradition. Eric Vloeimans is unique among many of Holland's top international jazz artists in that he does not shy away from playing beautifully. He is a rare musician that has mastered the complete range of the trumpet, from the energy laden high notes to the soft, velvety, almost wooden sounds. The talent and the expressive power of Eric Vloeimans' music have been honored by his winning the Dutch Edison Award four times, the Elly Ameling Prize of the City of Rotterdam, the Boy Edgar Award and the prestigious Bird Award at the North Sea Jazz Festival.

Vloeimans' performances and recordings with a multitude of other formations have shown his versatility. His musical talent, easy-going attitude and great sense of humour have brought him to play with national and international artists such as Mercer Ellington, John Taylor, Marc Johnson, Peter Erskine, The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Jasper van 't Hof, Han Bennink, Furio di Castri, Charlie Mariano, Nguyên Lê, Jimmy Haslip, Jarmo Savolainen, Philippe Catherine, Joey Baron, Lars Danielsson, Michael Moore and many, many others.

His musical collaborations have taken Eric Vloeimans abroad many times. With diverse artists and ensembles he played all over Europe, Indonesia, China, the Middle East, South Africa and Japan. Experiences from his travels influence his music constantly and can be heard in many of his compositions. Eric Vloeimans plays from the heart and has shown a remarkable power to create bridges and reach the hearts of audiences all over the world.

Asia's love affair with piano performances is never ending and has become a major influence amongst Asian audiences. Western piano recital is very much alive amongst the western classical fans. For years, Wu Promotion has successfully handled some of the world’s most renowned pianist and young emerging artists. In collaboration with some of the most renowned international piano competitions, we offer the opportunity for the winning emerging artists of such competitions to tour in Asia; amongst them include the International Franz Liszt Competition, the Géza Anda Competition and the Maria Canals Competition.

Asia and especially China's emergence as an international power in classical music have furthered its demand for western chamber music. In spite of the different cultural background and the difficulty in understanding the chamber repertoire, we have become a considerable force in western chamber music. We invite prominent chamber groups but also emerging ensembles, devoted and eager to help Asian audiences approach this thrilling genre as well as providing them with international exposure opportunities.

The jazz scene in Asia has gained rapidly increasing recognition throughout the past years and is establishing a presence amongst Asian jazz fans. Wu Promotion is contributing to Asia,s exploding demand for jazz by touring notable jazz players at prestigious universities around Asia, the paramount market for enhancing the genre's reputation. Artists are enthusiastic as they are unable to experience such an inspiring audience in Europe and have seized the opportunity to give performances in Asia that always leave the audience and students in awe.

Ballet and modern dance in Asia ushered a thriving phase with greater diversity as it gained much popularity. Wu Promotion went beyond its passion for the classical music industry and brought in numerous distinguish ballet companies and modern dance troupes. Wu Promotion is entering the 21^st century by giving Dance & Theatre bigger prospects that would be a highlight to the Asian cultural agenda.

Asia has embraced instrumental and orchestral music and now offers its audiences a variety of international artists and performances. Concert halls in Asia have reached the stage where they are now standing alongside international concert halls.
