![]() ![]() Tour Dates
Tour Dates: 25 Nov - 6 Dec, 2010 “The citation mark of the evening...” Ulf Sandström – piano Jump4Joy feel good music with energy and love - a jam band offering you gold from the trenches of New Orleans flavored funk-blues-gospel-rock. Musicians with high energy music and a good portion of good humored surrealistic verbalism. Jump4Joy is a constant experiment, where Ulf & Bo bring their very special humor and energy as a duo or quartet to club gigs, concerts, festivals, theatres, burlesque shows, dance events, corporate events, symphony arrangements and gospel choirs. Jump4Joy is a four-piece group which since 1992 has graced the world with their own mixture of R&B, Jump and Swing on records and at over 2000 personal appearances. As a group they are often praised for their vital combination of musicality, energy and humor. A groove oriented piano and organ player with a soulful voice. He wants to entertain you, and will weave a web of verbal bridges until he succeeds. Also known as "Mighty", is a power-honker on the tenor sax. His roots in jazz and ska music shine through when he picks up the alto. Bo and Ulf have toured a century, and perform like one entity. Both have been nominated for their contributions to Swedish Blues by the Scandinavian Blues Association with the Janne Rosenqvist Memorial Prize. Bo received the Prize 2008. Without doubt, Benigh is one of Scandinavians finest bass players and one of the most sought after producer in the music scene. Fanatically all round drummer and percussionist, Bjornlund has played with Surjo over 15 years, forming a welded silicone rhythm section. “Jump4Joy are a blast...” “The citation mark of the evening...” “Last time Jump4Joy visited our jazz club the audience sat like birds with open beaks through the first couple of songs - dumbstruck by Ulf Sandströms verbal cascades and uncomparably comical talk between songs.” “Ulf Sandströms piano is the "red thread" of the band. It goes all the way from boogie-tradition to New Orleans-style stride, always with excellent style and nuances. Bo Gustafssons saxophone fits the picture perfectly. He plays the alto sax complimenting Earl Bostic and his tenor sax reminds me of the players from Texas. Everything with class and true to the style.” For booking inquiry please contact: Mr. Ma Ran
