With six concerts in thirteen days the Lucerne Festival was brought to China in 2019 |
From June 26th-29th, 2016, Lebanon witnesses the successful performances by China National Acrobatic Troupe. Lucerne Festival Orchestra (LFO), together with young pianist Alexander Malofeev as the soloist, achieved a large-scale tour in China from 12 to 19 October. The tour, entitled “Lucerne Festival in China”, was led by the orchestra’s music director Riccardo Chailly with six concerts held at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Shanghai Symphony Hall, and Shenzhen Concert Hall, presenting to the largest extent the original Lucerne Festival to the Chinese audiences. LFO was unanimous acclaimed as in their “Lucerne Festival in Shanghai” in 2018. The rendition of Mahler’s Symphony No. 6 in A minor, a LFO signature piece, was even hailed as “God-empowered”. Thanks to the successful tours in the last two years, LFO has established deep relations with the Chinese audiences and achieved better cooperation with local theatres. Looking forward to welcoming them again in 2020! |
