From October 31st to November 13th, 2023, the Staatskapelle Dresden 2023 China Tour was successfully completed. The Staatskapelle Dresden visited four theaters: Shanghai Oriental Art Centre, the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Shenzhen Grand Theatre, and Xi'an Concert Hall, where it delivered nine spectacular performances with Christian Thielemann and Rudolf Buchbinder.

As the oldest and most historic orchestra, the Staatskapelle Dresden has upheld the authentic German sound for nearly five centuries. This year marks the 475th anniversary of the orchestra's founding, and conductor Christian Thielemann presented an anniversary celebration program with the orchestra, celebrating with Chinese audiences. Rudolf Buchbinder, one of the legendary piano masters, took over the baton from Thielemann in Shenzhen and Xi'an, performing the complete set of Beethoven's piano concertos, allowing the sound of classic German music to flow into the hearts of every audience.
