| Terpsycordes Quartet, 2012 |
Tour Dates: 15 Mar - 26 Mar, 2012 Girolamo Bottiglieri, first vioin A prism of musical repertoires, a diverse approach, a kaleidoscope of personalities; these are the many facets that combine to make up the unique character of Terpsycordes Quartet – at once homogenous and diverse. Terpsycordes Quartet has won distinction at many international competitions, including first prize at Geneva International Music Competition, in 2001. The Ensemble has succeeded in radiating its quadruple talent into Europe as a magical blend of harmonious and complementary artists who are innovative and bold in their interpretation. Terpsycordes Quartet, based in Geneva and founded in 1997, was taught by Gabor Takács-Nagy before being coached by notable members of the Budapest, Hagen, Lasalle and Mosaïques Quartets. Drawing vitality from their contrasting origins, Italy, Bulgaria and Switzerland, Terpsycordes members offer dazzling concerts to audiences of major concert seasons and festivals around the globe. Both on stage and in the recording studio, Terpsycordes assert their eclecticism. Their recordings, all acclaimed by specialized press, reflect a determination to get to the heart of each piece they play – combining both rigour and fantasy. Terpsycordes' discography includes: Death and the Maiden by Schubert, discovered for the very first time on period instruments (Ricercar); Schumann, Opus 41, and Haydn Opus 33, sharply in focus, also including contemporary works by the Swiss composer Gregorio Zanon (Claves); and Haydn once more, with an album of the Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross (Ricercar). The muse Terpsichore is the Quartets constant inspiration. She is music's daughter who links the Earth and the spirit: Terre (earth), psy (spirit), cordes (strings). Special Thanks to:

Chinese opera and dance, such as Peking Opera and Kun Opera are the most representative and oldest forms of performing arts in China. Originating from many different areas, dialects and ethnic groups, they have developed different musical structures. Most of the productions are featuring classical stories which are considered to be the intangible artifacts of Chinese history during particular eras. Today many forms of Chinese dance and theatre are less known internationally. Wu Promotion is striving to preserve the great Chinese performing arts and promote them to the world audience.
