Berliner Philharmoniker's Shanghai residency, which was supposed to have taken place these days after the final concert of the season at the Waldbühne, has been postponed until June 2024. The current pandemic situation has forced the orchestra to cancel the 2022 residency. The Berliner Philharmoniker and Wu Promotion have agreed to postpone the residency until summer 2024.

As originally planned for 2022, the residency will feature concerts under the baton of chief conductor Kirill Petrenko, as well as a variety of education and outreach projects and chamber music concerts. The aim of the Berliner Philharmoniker and Wu Promotion is to reach as many people as possible in Shanghai.
