From late May to early June, our first time collaborator Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, conducted by top conductor Andris Nelsons, will bring concertos and symphonies from Beethoven to Rachmaninoff! It is also worth mentioning that the orchestra will perform excerpt of Wagner’s representative opera Die Walküre! This time, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig will bring 7 concerts, collaborating with pianist Yulianna Avdeeva, singers Vitalij Kowaljow, Klaus Florian Vogt, and Sarah Wegener! Looking forward to seeing how the oldest municipal orchestra, which was founded in 1743, will interpret classical symphonies, operas, and concertos during the tour! The orchestra will visit Shanghai Oriental Arts Centre on May 26th, Wuxi Symphony Hall on the 27th, National Centre for Performing Arts on the 29th, 30th, and 31st, and will close the tour on June 2nd.
