| Tan Dun in Concert for Norway National Day in Shanghai Expo |
Norway National Day 28th May, in the presence of HRH Crown Prince Haakon, TSO performed under the baton of Chinese acclaimed conductor, Tan Dun. On the occasion of Norway Pavilion Day 28th of May 2010, in the presence of HRH Crown Prince Haakon, the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra (TSO) performed under the baton of Chinese acclaimed conductor, Tan Dun on the concert, themed on “Powered by Nature”. Its last concert in cooperation with many artists highlighted TSO’s whole China tour. In the first part of the concert, TSO performed Tan Dun’s recent works including Violin Concerto, “The Love”, and Internet Symphony, “Eroica”. Specially, Tan’s “The Love” is fused with Peking Opera music. To support his good friend, Chinese famous conductor Tang Muhai also presented the concert. (see the photo above) Moreover, The Secret Garden, the TrondheimSoloists and Frikar Dance Company were all invited to perform on the concert. |
