Tour Dates: 9 Jun - 20 Jun, 2005 Katharina Sellheim Born in Rehren/ She started taking piano-lessons at the Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater From October 1999 until June 2000 she continued her studies in She has attended masterclasses with Paul Badura-Skoda, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Norman Shetler, Eckhart Sellheim and Germaine Mounier. Miss Sellheim has received scholarships from Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes and Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD). She also got generous support from FJS-Gesellschaft zur Förderung junger Künstler and currently by the Richard-Wagner-Society. Throughout her career, Miss Sellheim has been awarded many prizes including Jugend Musiziert and the First Prize at the GEDOK-Competition in 2002. Katharina Sellheim performed as a soloist with orchestra and as a recitalist in cities such as The works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms have become the core of her repertoire. Miss Sellheim has rapidly established herself as an accompanist, working together with singers from the State Opera Hamburg (Lied, Recitals) and the First Prizewinner of the ARD-Music Competiton 2003 (Double-Bass). |
