Michaela Rabitsch - Trumpet
Robert Pawlik - Guitare

Michaela Rabitsch

Trumpet player and singer Michaela Rabitsch and guitarist Robert Pawlik share their musical and private lives now for ten years.

Playing in a lot of different musical setups before made them open to different kinds of musical influences. Since then they focus especially on their jazzquartet and their intimate acoustic duo.

In both groups they try to realize their original compositions.

With „moods“they present now their 3rd common CD and a new programm with exclusively original compositions.

A lot of their songs are done together in interaction - especially the newer ones – a fact that helped to build their unique sound.

The tunes are new and of immediate interest, up-to-date without leaving the jazz-roots.

Influences of jazz, latin and funk are converted to create a new, independent stile. Songs with groovy rhythm, catchy melodies and logical and matured harmonies are focused and form an ideal base for improvisation.

The influences on their music are international, but performed and composed by Viennese musicians creating that special, unmistakable Viennese charm.

You will experience a Viennese Jazzquartet performing on an international standard – touching and fascinating.

In the past the interpretation of the great American Songbook played an important role in former musical programms of the quartet. So the band can draw fom a big repertoire covering many jazzstiles in addition to their original compositions – if required.

Michaela Rabitsch and Robert Pawlik are touring frequently with their quartet and duo especially in Europe and had been invited to numerous international Jazz Festivals like the International Jazzfestival Burghausen (Germany), International Jazzfestival Sibiu (Romania), Int. Jazzfestival Tel Aviv – Givatayim (Israel), International Jazzfestival Moscow (Russia) – putting out just a few – shariing the bandstand with top international Jazzstars like Dee Dee Bridgewater, Archie Shep, the Vienna Art Orchestra,  Enrico Rava, Chico Freeman, ....

Their Concert Tours led them through Austria, Gerrmany, Switzerland, Russia, Israel, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovacia and the Czech Republic.
