Formed from three of Australia's leading young musicians, the Streeton Trio is based in Geneva, Switzerland. The trio was formed in 2008 and is one of the ensembles in residence of the prestigious European Chamber Music Academy.

Formed from three of Australia's leading young musicians, the Streeton Trio is based in Geneva, Switzerland. The trio was formed in 2008 and is one of the ensembles in residence of the prestigious European Chamber Music Academy. The trio has benefited from tutorials with world-renowned musicians Gabor Takacs-Nágy, Hatto Beyerle, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Johannes Meissl, Christoph Richter, Peter Cropper, Miguel Da Silva, Gary Hoffman, Sergey Ostrovsky, Philippe Graffin, Pascal Devoyon and Mihaela Martin.

Named after the Australian Impressionist painter, Sir Arthur Streeton, the trio has received great acclaim for their recent performances in Australia, Holland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria and the UK. The trio has performed in venues such as Wigmore Hall (London), Het Loo Royal Palace (Holland) and the Melbourne Recital Centre. Following the success of their performances in the Apeldoorn Festival, Holland, the trio was invited to give repeat performances of piano quartets with renowned violist Ásdís Valdimarsdóttir.

Winner of the 2011 Music Viva Sydney Eisteddfod Chamber Music Award, The Streeton Trio has been selected for several prestigious competitions and festivals, including the 2011 Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition (one of 8 trios selected worldwide) and the 2011 Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition (one of 9 trios selected worldwide). The trio has also been awarded the 2010 Skills and Arts Development grant from the Australia Council for the Arts, and the 2010 Ian Potter Cultural Trust Grant. The trio's debut CD, released in 2011, has been broadcast extensively across Australia on ABC FM, 3MBS FM, 2MBS FM, 4MBS FM, and 774 3LO radio stations, and in Switzerland on Radio Classic Swiss.

As members of the European Chamber Music Academy, the trio receives intensive monthly masterclasses with the world's leading chamber musicians and regular performances at festivals across Europe.
