On July 30 and 31, Wu Promotion brought Teatro Verdi Trieste’s La Traviata to Vietnam for the opera house’s first performance in South Asia! The full company brought Verdi’s classic full-scale staged production, which was premiered in 2024, at Ho Guom Opera House. It was conducted by Vanessa Benelli Mosell and directed by Arnaud Bernard.

Beyond premiere in Vietnam, the performance marked Wu Promotion’s another landmark promoting international cultural communication through music as the event marked the friendship between Italy and Vietnam.

The melodies that convey loveliness and tragedy as well as the fully staged production made audiences immerse in the love story during the Romantic era.

Preparing for the first South Asia tour, the company arrived in Vietnam on the 27th for rehearsal and staging, and artists and staff tried local Vietnamese pottery at the end of the trip.

It’s also worth mentioning that Wu Promotion has been dedicated in bringing international artists to worldwide stages since the company invited Symphony Orchestra of India along with Legendary Indian tabla maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain to Royal Opera House Muscat in 2013. Besides, Wu Promotion led La Scala Ballet, performing Giselle, to Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Culture Center for the first time in 2020. In 2021, Wu Promotion brought Vienna Philharmonic to Egypt, marking the top orchestra's first return to Cairo in 71 years since its 1950 debut, as part of conductor Riccardo Muti's 80th birthday world tour, and also the opening performance of the Cairo Arts and Culture City Concert Hall in Egypt's new administrative capital.
