During Verbier Festival 2026, Verbier Festival and Wu Promotion announced the continuation of their collaboration with the city of Shenzhen for the next two years, covering the 2027 and 2028 editions. The announcement was made on the occasion of a visit to Verbier by the Shenzhen delegation, gathered today for a public press presentation. It follows the success of the first Shenzhen Verbier Festival, held from 30 January to 8 February 2026.

Held over ten days across Shenzhen's major cultural venues, this first edition of the Verbier Festival outside of Europe featured 24 concerts, seven public masterclasses, and a professional round table, drawing more than 23,000 in-person attendees; a result that confirms Shenzhen’s place as the Festival's new anchor point in Asia.

This partnership reflects a shared conviction: that classical music renews itself through contact with new audiences, new stages, and new generations of artists and listeners. By combining the Verbier Festival's artistic standards with Shenzhen's international energy and openness, the two institutions are anchoring their collaboration for the long term, with the goal of making Shenzhen a lasting platform for exchange between world-class musicians, young talent, and audiences across Europe and Asia.

The second edition of the Shenzhen Verbier Festival will take place from 9 to 18 February 2027.

The 2027 programme brings together an exceptional line-up of international artists, including pianists Yuja Wang, Sergey Babayan, Nikolai Lugansky, Behzod Abduraimov, Ziyu Shao, and Lucas Debargue; violinists David Garrett, Pinchas Zukerman, Clara-Jumi Kang, and Daniel Lozakovich; violists Antoine Tamestit and Blythe Teh Engstroem; and cellists Mischa Maisky, Pablo Ferrandez, Jing Zhao, and Kian Soltani. As in 2026, the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Gabor Takacs-Nagy, will be at the heart of the programme.
