Terpsycordes Quartet enjoys a high reputation in Europe. It focused on works of the Classical and Romantic periods during its China tour and impressed the Chinese audience with the artists' delicate skills. Its concert at the National Center for the Performing Arts was sold out. The organizer had to add movable seats to accommodate a bigger audience. The audience erupted in rounds of applause for the closing piece "Evening Primrose", a combination of the traditional Chinese tune with the mystic elements of tango. "There has never been a concert that touched my heart so deeply," a spectator said after the show. "I am almost moved to tears."
Terpsycordes Quartet's concerts in other cities also created pleasant surprises. The artists' ingenious interpretations of the opening pieces impressed the audience, who appreciated the music and the charisma of the artists in a relaxed and delightful atmosphere. |
