Mladen Colic

Born in Novi Sad in 1982. His education in music began with  Ivana Branovacki, at the Isidor Bajic Music School in Novi Sad where he graduated as the best student of his generation. In 2000, he enrolled the Novi Sad Academy of Arts, where he studied piano with Svetlana Bogino and graduated as the first student of the Academy who received the Cum Laude distinction.

Mladen performed in his first piano recital at the age of nine.  Since then, he has started to perform as a soloist and also with orchestras in many countries of Europe.

The 1st Prize at the Audience Award, and the Laureate Title of the II Isidor Bajic International Piano Competition (Novi Sad 2004) stated, among other results, Mladen’s capacity grew as he continued his music education at the renowned National Music and Dance Conservatory in Paris with Jacques Rouvier and Prisca Benoit.  After graduation, Mladen was accepted as a student of Prisca Benoit and to continue as post-graduate studies at the same Conservatory supported by the French gouvernement and the Académie des Beaux Arts.

In the course of his music studies, Mladen has won numerous prizes on national and international piano competitions, amongst which are: 1st Prize at the III International Sergei Rachmaninov Competition for Young Pianists (Russia 1997), 2nd Prize at the Vladimir Krainev International Piano Competition (the Ukraine 2000) and most recently, he received 1st Prize and the Audience Award of the International Music Competition "Maria Canals" (Barcelona 2007), a member of the International Federation of the Music Competitions, which has greatly supported his musical debuts in Europe and China in cooperation with Wu Promotion.  For his latest recital series, Mladen has performed in Spain, France, Italy and Serbie.

Mladen has attended numerous master classes in his country and abroad such as Italy, France, Germany, Russia and Austria with recognised professors: Dmitri Bashkirov, Oxana Yablonskaya, Hiroko Nakamura, Mikhail Voskresensky, Vladimir Krainev.
