GesaLücker was born in 1976 in Braunschweig and gave her first public concert aged only nine. Her orchestral debut followed when she was 12 years old.

GesaLücker was born in 1976 in Braunschweig and gave her first public concert aged only nine. Her orchestral debut followed when she was 12 years old.

She studied with Martin Dörrie and MattiRaekallio at the HochschulefürMusikund Theater, Hannover up until the concert exam program; further work with luminaries such as ArieVardi, Fabio Bidini and Jerome Rose made an important contribution to her musical development.

She was a prize winner of the Bruno-Frey-Stiftung, of the Hanover Chopin Society and of national and international competitions such as Prizewinner of Val Tidone Piano Competition, Italy and First Prize at IBLA Grand Prize International Competition, Italy.

She has given concerts as a soloist with various orchestras like Stadttheater Hildesheim Orchestra, PhilarmoniaOltenia Craiova Romania, Goettingen Symphony Orchestra, Hannover Youth Orchestra and many more. She has given recitals worldwide as a soloist and as a chamber musician in halls such as the large hall of the NDR Hannover, Yamaha Hall, Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall) and Mannes College of Music in New York City, Wigmore Hall London, Arkansas and Virginia University and He Luting Hall Shanghai. Her chamber music partners include soloists from the Amsterdam Concertgebouworkest, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and Northern Chamber Orchestra.

Last season GesaLücker toured in Germany, Italy, Poland, the USA as well as making several concert tours to China (Shanghai, Nanjing, Xiamen and Zhengzhou).

A further important part of GesaLücker’s life is her teaching. She acted as assistant to her professors already during her studies at the HochschulefürMusik und Theater Hannover as well as on masterclasses.

In October 2010,GesaLücker became a professor of piano at the University for Music and Dance Cologne, Germany.

In addition she is a regular member of the jury at national and international competitions and gives masterclasses in Germany, China and is every year invited to teach and perform at the "International Keyboard Institute and Festival" at Mannes College (IKIF) in New York City, USA.

GesaLücker is also dedicated to broadening the appeal of classical music to a wider audience; she participates in the ‘Rhapsody in schools’ project founded by Lars Vogt and acts as a consultant and musical director for several concert series and music festivals.
