The “2022 Austrian Classical Art Film Festival”, presented by Wu Promotion and Lumière Pavillons, features nine ballets and operas from Austria from March 18 to 27, 2022. The festival started the pre-sale on March 4 and has been received with great enthusiasm as many screenings are already sold out.

On 18 March, the festival opened in Beijing with the first screening of Rigoletto from the 2020 Bregenzer Festspiele. Maggie Zheng - General Manager of Wu Promotion, Shao Zheng - Founder and President of Lumière Pavillons, Christian Mandl - Minister Plenipotentiary (Cultural and Scientific Affairs) of the Austrian Embassy in China, and his wife, together with several leading guests, were present to join the audience on a journey through Austrian classical art.

The nine screenings include the ballets Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and Don Quixote from Wiener Staatsballett, the selected operas from Bregenzer Festspiele: Carmen (2017), Magic Flute (2013) and Rigoletto (2020) as well as the operas from Salzburg Festival Nozze di Figaro (2007) and La Traviata (2005) and the Otello from 2016 Salzburg Easter Festival.
