This is NOT just a music festival — it’s a historic moment that’s shaking the global classical music circle to its core! For the first time in over 30 years since its founding, the Verbier Festival, the crown jewel of global classical music, has stepped out of Europe and landed in Asia — and its first stop is Shenzhen! On January 30, 2026, the festival kicked off with a bang, and for 10 glorious days, it turned Shenzhen into a global hub of melody, gathering the brightest stars in classical music to create moments that will burn bright in music lovers’ hearts forever.

Besides collaboration with Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra and Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, many top musicians made their visit to Shenzhen for the music festival. Here’s the list of the artists: conductor Gabor Takacs-Nagy, violinist Daniel Lozakovich, cellist Gautier Capuçon, pianist Alexander Malofeev, pianist Haochen Zhang, violinists Marc Bouchkov, Lir Vaginsky, violist Timothy Ridout, cellist Daniel Mitnitsky, pianist Mikhail Pletnev, pianists Minsoo Sohn, Yuja Wang, Julien Quentin, violinist Janine Jansen, cellist Daniel Blendulf, pianist Bruce Liu, violinist Joshua Bell, violinist Alexandra Conunova, pianists Denis Kozhukhin, Lang Lang, violinist Paloma Su, cellist La Li, pianist Victor Yuanhan Lv, cellist Mischa Maisky, pianist Alasdair Beatson, violist Blythe Teh Engstroem, double bassist Brendan Kane, bass-baritone Bryn Terfel, and conductor Gianluca Marciano.

The stage wasn’t just a stage — it was a battlefield of passion! These legendary masters descended on Shenzhen, their fingers dancing on strings and keys, weaving a dreamy world of classical music. Every note pulsed with passion, every melody stirred the soul — and our cameras caught it all.

From the grand opening on Jan 30 that brought the house down to the successful closing performance on Feb 8, the first Verbier Festival in Shenzhen held 24 concerts, 7 masterclasses along with one round-table discussion. The festival successfully attracted around 25, 000 people from diverse cultures, and there were 70% non-local audiences, and the record marks the breakthrough of classical music marketing in China. Every show was a rollercoaster of emotion — applause thundered, hearts melted, and melodies lingered in the air long after the final note faded. This wasn’t just a collision of music; it was a dialogue between cultures: the elegant charm of Alpine classical music met the vitality of Shenzhen, creating an artistic carnival like no other.
