Mr. Zezhou Wu, founder of Wu Promotion, devoted himself to international cultural exchange over the past three decades, introducing world arts to China as well as Chinese arts to the world. Besides presenting the Chinese traditional music into the Musikverein, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra took the stage at the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland in 2017 and made a breakthrough in the history of Chinese symphonic music. Upon hearing the news of Mr. Zezhou Wu’s passing, the Chief Conductor of China National Traditional Orchestra, Mr. Sha Liu shared with his circle of colleagues and friends:” In 1998, with Mr. Wu’s efforts and management, the China National Traditional Orchestra presented a concert at the Musikverein celebrating the Chinese New Year (year of the Tiger).
